Strange Lullaby

A relatively short story, written as an exercise, and mayhap under the influence.

Strange Lullaby can be regarded as an extensive prologue for a series I have intended to write for some time. The Farbrook Chronicles are a Nightworld series set in Britain, and Strange Lullaby is the first introduction to some of the characters, namely Kaffir, Neo and Vanya. It is intended as a stand-alone story.

The first (real) story in this series is Dragonlore, which tells the story of Kheo Rastaban's awakening and the subsequent havoc he wreaks. It's set between Chimera and Haloed.

Summary: A silver necklace marked the end of his search. A chance meeting marked the end of Marina's naivety. A story of the nature of deception and friendship.
Rating: 15-R
Spoilers: General NW concepts
Disclaimer: As ever, thank L. J. Smith for creating the Nightworld and all its wonders. It's her playground: I'm just invading for a little while.
